Educated in Fine Art, initially specialising in ceramics I have always taken inspiration from nature, in particular the botanical world. Having struggled with illness from my late teens onwards, the floral and horticultural realm have been a space of healing and sanctuary. My work now is solely botanical art/illustration, primarily using the mediums of coloured pencils, graphite and pen.
My philosophy is to capture the delicacy and infinite complexity of the floral world and to express the profound emotional responses that draw me to my subject. My art is a point of solace, connection and education, providing an ever deeper way for me to experience the bounty that covers our world.
I have created work specifically for exhibitions, have work in private collections and take commissions.
